St Ives School is seeking to appoint part-time and casual minibus drivers. As a casual minibus driver, you would support our staff on school trips and activities either during the school day or occasionally after school or at the weekend with sporting activities or visits.

We are also looking to recruit part-time drivers who would be able to work in the morning and/or after school to assist with transporting students to and from school from outlying areas to ensure students arrive at school on time for the school day and transport students home again at the end of the day. This would potentially be between 7.30am – 8.45am and then again from 3.15pm – 5.15pm term-time only.

The successful applicants must have a D1 or PCV entitlement, undertake an enhanced criminal record check and ideally have experience of driving children/young people. You will be required to complete the MIDAS training (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme).

Applicants should have excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure; have a good knowledge of the local area and be competent in basic vehicle checks and maintenance. You will also need to be flexible and have an enthusiasm for working with children.
